About
The Topic Accessed Video (TAV) system was developed to enable authors to evaluate the educational impact of integrating linear and non-linear video components. By using a topic hierarchy to guide video content, TAV allowed for alignment with the structure of printed study materials. Video segments positioned lower in the hierarchy featured more intricate ‘voice-overs’ to compensate for the reduced continuity typical of linear films. This system, illustrated by various project examples including accessibility training, eye surgery education, and Schema theory, aimed to enhance learning experiences through tailored video interfaces and modular content.
