About

The real-time advice and guidance project ran live sessions in late June and early July 2000. It was an experiment – we were trying to explore the issues around real-time online guidance – We explored the nature of such events and sought to find ways that technology (such as live chat and webcasting) could help.
The application offered: audiovisual (AV), with slides and a chatroom. For the test to work, you needed two plug-ins installed on your computer: QuickTime (v4+) from Apple and Shockwave (v8+) from Macromedia. These plug-ins were essential before you could participate.
