About

QualiChain aimed to create, pilot and evaluate a decentralised platform for securely storing, sharing and verifying education and employment qualifications. The project explored the potential of blockchain technology, algorithmic techniques and computational intelligence to transform public education and its connections with private education, the labour market and public-sector administration.

It assessed the technical, political, socio-economic, legal and cultural implications of these technologies, alongside their potential benefits and risks. The platform provided core services for archiving and verifying qualifications and managing qualification portfolios, as well as additional services including career guidance, competency management, recruitment and decision support.

The solution was piloted across four scenarios: lifelong learning, smart curriculum design, public-sector recruitment, and HR consultancy and competency management.
