About

The European Data Science Academy (EDSA) addressed the growing demand for data science expertise that arose from the rapid expansion of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data generated through social networking, micro-blogging and crowdsourcing. Recognising the opportunities that Big Data created across industry sectors, EDSA analysed sector-specific skills requirements, developed flexible data science curricula, and delivered multilingual, multi-platform training resources. These curricula and learning materials were continuously evaluated by pedagogical and data science experts throughout their development and deployment to ensure their effectiveness and relevance.
