This event took place at 15:00 – 16:00 UK, (16:00 CET; 10:00 EDT) on April 11th 1997. The BYM600 Virtual Pub Quiz presented by Don Cooper, Alan Parkinson, Mike Green of the OU Business School was part of a LIVE INTERNET MBA SEMINAR.

This revision seminar was designed around the idea of the traditional British Pub Quiz. The pub quiz was a venerable institution in which participants answered a series of questions in a comfortable and informal setting. Competitors might have been organised into teams or might have competed as individuals. One person per team submitted the answers to be marked – and the prize for the best final score was universal acclaim. By the way, this was not a test, so participants did not need to feel like failures if they did not know all the answers – some of the questions were made challenging on purpose (but they might have surprised us!).

This quiz consisted of three short rounds of questions, interspersed with revision hints from members of the BYM600 course team. Participants were invited to submit questions for the course team to address during these breaks.
