About
The CABER Project built on the successful CLUTCH Millennium Awards Scheme, where parents in Milton Keynes researched local community history and published their findings online. This project not only helped participants learn technical skills, such as using computers and digital audio-visual tools, but also removed barriers to learning by focusing on a meaningful purpose—capturing local history.
CABER extended this by testing a similar project remotely. Teachers, students, and parents from distant schools were given access to online learning tools, training resources, and web forums via broadband. Teacher-mentors at local hub schools provided individualised support.
